The final stop of these season's Dodge Rodeo Tour is of course the Mississauga Championships. This event hosted by the City of Mississauga and the Mississauga Hershey Centre.
The Hershey Centre is Mississauga's Premiere Sports and Entertainment Facility with a state-of-the-art multipurpose arena and home to the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors of the Ontario Hockey League. The Hershey Centre has played host to many World Class events since 1998. The main, 5,400 seat arena is complemented by three additional ( 85'X 200' ) ice surfaces used by minor and adult hockey, figure skating clubs and other community groups.
In addition to a full schedule of OHL Hockey, the main arena is an ideal venue for many sporting and entertainment events including concerts, trade and family shows, film and television productions to name a few.
The Hershey Centre will present three action packed days of rodeo on September 26, 27 and 28 to finish up the 08 season with a dance on Saturday Night.

PROCEEDS FROM FRIDAY'S PERFORMANCE
THE DODGE RODEO TOUR AND THE MISSISSAUGA HERSHEY CENTRE ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT CAMP BUCKO WITH OUR FRIDAY EVENEING PERFORMANCE!
Camp BUCKO provides an opportunity for children recovering from burn injuries to meet other children who share similar feelings and experiences in a camp environment. Camp gives these children temporary freedom from the everyday frustrations of being burned, a chance to share their stories and to bond with each other. Most of all though camp is a place to have fun and learn new things. It is a benefit for children in these circumstances to attend a program such as this to build self-esteem to cope with life beyond their burn injury.
Camp BUCKO is a fun, safe and caring camp program free to kids ages 7 to 17 with burn injuries. Our residential setting encourages campers to participate in a variety of social, recreational and therapeutic activities that promote self-esteem, the development of leadership skills and fosters personal growth. At Camp BUCKO, kids have a place where they can be themselves without feeling different or alone.
Camp Aims and Goals
to have a fun filled outdoor adventure
to create a sense of community by providing a place where campers can learn about themselves and others with similar experiences
to introduce campers to dynamic role models by including adult burn survivors as Camp BUCKO volunteers
to promote each child's unique abilities and strengths as steps in enhancing self acceptance
to promote opportunities to learn about working in groups as well as in one-on-one interactions among peers of the same and opposite sex
Camp is open to burn survivors between the ages of 7-17. Adult burn survivors may be involved as volunteers at camp. The camp has grown to over 70 children attending the week long camp in August. We will help arrange transportation for campers all across Ontario. We have had campers from other provinces attend our camp if there was not a burn camp for them to attend in their home province.
We are a registered charity providing the program through generous donations from firefighters associations, service groups, and other public and private organizations. A board of volunteers from across Ontario plans for camp all year. With the donations we receive we are able to fully fund each child attending camp, transportation to and from camp and each child to receive a camp shirt.
Health providers, firefighters, adult burn survivors, and burn support staff attend camp to support the experienced Kinark Outdoor Centre staff.
