Rodeo Management Group and the Dodge Rodeo Tour are delighted to announce Milverton Rodeo Weekend as the 2nd stop on this year' s Dodge Rodeo Tour. Milverton is a community in Perth County, Ontario, Canada with a population of around 1700 people. A significant Amish population lives in the village and its environs. The village is situated on a triple watershed (Maitland, Upper Thames and Grand). Milverton is located north of Stratford on Perth Road 131, and is geographically northwest of Kitchener-Waterloo. The closest of the Great Lakes is Lake Huron, 62km west of the village.

Last year, Milverton exceeded all expectations. The Rodeo was firing on all engines for the entire weekend and hit record heights in every area. There was a full house at the dance and record crowds for the Rodeo Performances. More cowboys and cowgirls competed over the course of this weekend than had ever before. The Milverton Rodeo Committee was thrilled as their Rodeo continues to grow and hit these record numbers. Clearly the Milverton committee knows how to promote rodeo as was evident by all the signs coming into town. A great community group raising needed monies for community projects.

This year the Milverton Rodeo will be in its 18th year of existence. Residents of Milverton will again team up with a host of others to produce the 2008 event. This committee has made the rodeo Milverton's largest community event utilizing the talents of many local community organizations such as the Milverton Lions, Milverton Agricultural Society and the Mornington Optimists. In 2003 with rodeo proceeds they built a new Equine Arena that now plays host to many Equine shows and activities for the community. This year's rodeo will again be 2 days featuring two Dodge Rodeo Tour performances and a dance under the tent. You'll find it located as always at the Milverton Fair Grounds on June 20, 21 and 22nd.

Milverton rodeo should not be missed by fans as it is truly an example of a entire town coming together for one great event!
